Neck Harnesses
Each harness comes standard with a nylon tether strap and a set of carabiners to workout with weight plates. Additional accessories, including resistance bands, can be added to your order separately.
I have a height adjustable dual cable machine. I set the height at about level to my height. I use the included lanyard and hook in front then back then side to side. With the weight stack there is smooth constant tension. I love it.
I am very disappointed with the Alpha Harness. I thought it would be a really good piece of equipment, but it is completely useless for me.
The strap slips and cannot be tightened properly.
Iron Neck promised me a refund, but I never heard anything more about it.
Now the harness is lying around unused, which is a real shame.
My neck Training without the harness feels way better.
Hello,
I am happy with the product overall. However, I did call previously and also communicated via email with one of your representatives regarding a missing nylon tether that was supposed to be included in the package.
Best regards,
Harry
I really like the range of motion I can use with this. I particularly like being able to conduct neck turns. The only down side of the Iron Neck Alpha Plus is the chin strap is thin. It pushes in on my Adams' apple.
I love the alpha harness with the exception of the thin chin strap. A thick chin strap would be better. It doesn't cup my chin, and it will push into my neck, right above my Adams apple. Otherwise, I like the versatility.
This is a well made piece of equipment. The only drawback is the thin chin strap. I wish it was thicker and padded. I’ll have to configure a way to make a chin cover.
I really like the harness but it's a bit loose. I can't tighten it anymore because of the padding on the inside. Any help would be appreciated!
The Alpha Harness cannot be tightened sufficiently on my head. As a result, it constantly slips during all exercises. My head size and shape are fairly average, hat size medium.
Unfortunately, the harness does not fit well around my head and by itself it wouldn’t be effective at all. I use a beanie hat under the harness to stabilize it & that helps a little. Overall, the product would be much better if it was able to accommodate for women’s head sizes. At this price point, I feel that it should be designed better.
I returned the device. It wouldn't stay put on my head. Moved all over the place. Haven't received confirmation on return either going back to December14, 2024. No refund in spite of having tracking number from UPS
Harness is good for movements such as side flexion, forward flexion and extension, cannot use it for rotation as it slips, and if its too tight itll choke you
Amazing product! Makes training neck frequently a lot easier than doing body weight exercises like wrestler bridges that put a lot of compressive stress on your neck. Easier to do both dynamic and static strength exercises with this one, highly recommend!
This is a god awful design. The large Velcro strap for the back of the head should be replaced with a buckle to prevent your hair from getting stuck and ripped out. The chin strap positioning couldn’t be any more uncomfortable. It sits on your throat more than the chin. Only pro is the build materials are durable.
Love the equipment, I use it a couple times a week to engage my neck muscles and ensure good posture. Great to activate the entire Trapezius. Using it to create a point of tension at the forehead or back of the head is great to stress the entire muscular system and create force couples through the body and into the neck, which most of us have lost from sitting down too often.
It does allow you to do real resistance training for your neck, which is great. I feel my neck pump up after using this.
However, there's one really bad flaw with the design - it slips around your head a lot. I've tightened all the straps to as tight as they can go; there's not enough tightening ability in the straps to begin with.
This is a problem when you hook the cable machine to your front clip and are doing the raising-your-chin-towards-the-sky move. When you do that, it slips down and goes over my eyes and smashes my nose. I ended up using my hands to hold the band across my forehead up after just saying whatever the first 3-4 times I did that exercise. It also slips/slides around when you put it on the side clips.
This should be an easy fix for the company to make - simply make it able to be tightened more, and, if possible, add some sort of stabilizing part or mechanism to it.
When there's a lot of weight pulling on the contraption, it will be trying to slip around your head.
I bought this Neck Harness for 3 reasons:
-The chin strap looked comfy,
-It was advertised as adjustable on the back (just like all neck harnesses),
-It was also advertised as adjustable on the top, which was supposed to be an innovation in neck harnesses, since it would finally prevent it from dropping into your eyes.
Well, it managed to fail on all 3 accounts.
-The back is not adjustable either and as a result I have 1 finger room on my forehead. Even the regular neck harnesses are better adjustable that this one!
-Top is not adjustable and I still have 1 finger room on top of my head and yes it still falls into my eyes just like the rest of them.
-The chin strap is the only thing that does adjust and has a good fit but the material cuts into your skin, both under your chin and under the sides of your jaw.
You are bound to get a skin rash on said spots after first usage, even with very little weight. Don't say I did not warn ya!
I gave it 1 star for the super fast shipping to Europe (in 4 days).
To be fair, it is still the best constructed (but also the most expensive) Neck Harness I ever bought and yet it does not adjust nor does it fit, which was the entire reason why I bought it in the first place!
This only fits M-L and above head size. It cannot be adjusted any smaller.
The chin strap under the neck chokes. It should be across the chin as a football helmet chinstrap.
