I have been using the Iron Neck 3 Pro regularly for almost 3 years. 66 years old now. Completely satisfied. Remembering what I felt like before I started using. Frequent tightness and burning pain in neck and traps while just going for a walk. That was gone after a few weeks. My chiropractor noticed the difference. I’ve progressed up to the 50 lb band and it’s starting to feel easy. Still no sign of wear. It is a solid piece of equipment. Too bad for you-you may never sell me another one! The only downside: shortly after starting, I couldn’t button the collar on some dress shirts I just bought!
Should've ordered sooner. My neck would've felt better months ago. I sent DeeDee a ton of emails before I ended up purchasing it and she was amazing. She answered all of my questions quickly. I can't believe it works this well
I purchased the iron neck a few years ago now. Previously I was like most people that would occasionally wake up with a stiff and painful neck when looking in one direction. That never happens to me now at all. My neck is strong and flexible. Never any neck pain. Highly recommend the iron neck
My terrible neck pain has mostly gone away. To be fair, I have also changed pillows, started Pilates, and started chiropractic all about the same time, but I do believe the product works as described. My chiro said I could do this same thing with exercise bands and other methods, but I don't think you can get the same results. From a neck mechanics standpoint, Iron neck makes sense. Even with its foundational exercises, it provides a uniform and controlled way of exercising all of the neck, rather than simple single directional movements you get with bands and other products (which in my experience leads to an unbalanced neck and further muscle tension).
With that said, it's pretty confusing as to what you really need from the get go, and way too expensive (even at the sale price I got at Black Friday). I was pretty desperate at the time, but I would definitely not get the Rehab Bundle again (Pro with rehab Kit and Premium Training Lab). I would have instead bought only the basic version of Iron neck. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with unneeded costs and products, but thankful the product works as described.
Good product I perform the following movements with it
Rotation
Isometric flexion with rotation
Isometric extension with rotation
Protraction with rotation
Forward and backward jumps
Chin tuck
Main issue is that after you add alot of weight in the cable machine the harness flies off your head and you need to manually keep it in place. Furthermore if the cable is not anchor too the perfect height (not too high nor low) it becomes a bitch to use. Not every forgiving in this aspect you will have to squat.
Also movements advertised such as figure 8s and circles flatly do not work.
Hopefully future models will be more accommodating to different lines of pull instead of being locked into a straight line
I’ve been using the Iron Neck 3. 0 Pro consistently and it’s hands-down one of the most effective tools I’ve tried for neck strength, mobility, and overall durability. The build quality is solid, the resistance feels smooth and controlled, and the design makes it easy to train safely without awkward setups. Whether you’re dealing with stiffness, injury prevention, or just want a stronger neck for performance, this thing delivers. Simple to use, clearly well-engineered, and actually worth the investment.
Yes, I too deliberated on this for way too long based on cheaper alternatives involving towels and therapy bands. What it comes down was that I wasn't going to do those because they were awkward to set up and offered limited range of motion. The Iron Neck allows for so many different exercises that I can seamlessly transition between. My neck has never felt better. I have trained BJJ in a while, but I still find strengthening my neck extremely satisfying as a generally neglected muscle. I feel strong, more flexible, and a lot less likely to get a sore neck due to a weird angle during sleep. It's also easy to work-in between sets of heavier more taxing exercises. I love this thing, and plan on using it regularly for the indefinite future. Like many have said, when you compare the cost to the long term health benefits, I have zero regrets. Even if you don't grapple or have serious neck pain, this thing is awesome for developing your neglected neck muscles!
I was literally pissing myself in bed because of craniocervical instability. Started doing this but I swapped out the tether for a pulley and weights to be more precise. 2. 5lbs. Worked my way up. Doing 15lbs now. All the exercises. This and the flexion extension head harness and I'm out of bed now. In 3 months I didn't have to lay down and now a year later I'm playing basketball, swimming, and working full time. Saved my life.
Excellent device. I practice with it almost every day and I sure it will long term positive effects in the muscular development of my neck. This is an area which I believe, we hardly (if ever) do any exercises for it.
Not bad! And it is certainly a novel and niche device. Great for training the neck. But at the price point, even on sale, i am suprised and disappointed with the amount of cons. The chin strap loosens on the slightest tug and has to be wrapped around itself to secure. Whats the point of the strength kit if the chin strap loosens with pressure? Secondly, head slippage. I believe partly due to no side pads. And the fit is incredibly awkward. The front pad kind of ledges on your brow and then the rest of your forehead isnt really touching, so you pump up the back pad as tight as you can, and now you have something thats creating unconfortable pressure in an effort to have it stay on and not move around as you conduct rotational exercises. Spoiler alert: It will still shift around. In addition, dont worry about initally purchasing the training videos. You get a $20 gift card which I wish I knew about before i bought the training videos.
It's been 3 weeks and my neck pain went from an 8 out of 10 to a 1 or 2 out of 10. . I'm so grateful for this piece of equipment. If buy it over and over.
I am still figuring out how to use this. I think that I prefer the cable use over the bungy cords. I do think it definitely works the neck in an amazing way.
I got the Iron Neck 3. 0 because I wanted to strengthen my neck, and decrease pain from a bulging disk. I can say confidently the Iron Neck has helped with posture and strengthening.
When I was shopping and researching the product, I wish I knew that the rotational resistance on the Pro version is not needed. You are fine getting the regular version.
It's well made and it works. I just wish there were better programs for training and that you didn't have to pay extra for it. Also wish it came with another resistance band that's stronger than the one it comes with. Once I graduate from the 25lb resistance band, I'm not sure it will be as effective.
I have a medically compromised neck, and I am under regular/ongoing care with a physiatrist. After clinical rehab, I have continued at home with Iron Neck Pro. After six months of doing the early-stage rehab from the Iron Neck Training Lab, it has not fixed my main issue, but it has improved my strength, mobility, stability, and muscle spasms from heavy neck fibrosis due to cancer/radiation. I will use this device for the rest of my life and hope for incremental year-over-year improvements. Also of note, Iron Neck provides amazing customer service thanks to DeeDee. I am completely satisfied and highly recommend this product.
Specifically, the plastic movement mechanism (is attached) on the device spontaneously cracked. As a result, the attached 50 lbs. resistance band snapped back from the helmet (during the workout), causing a part of the plastic from the device to break off and shatter a nearby gym piece wall.
So far it has been amazing. I had neck pain with hand tingling that I thought was only going to get worse leading to surgery. It’s only been about a month so time will tell but I have more hope than ever. I have had days with no pain at all. This device does much more than strengthen your neck. For me it seems to realign the vertebra. Take your time and go slow with minimal resistance at first. This is not an excercise where you want to push it. I watched the core exercise videos like 5 times before doing it on my own to make sure I was doing it right.
Given the high cost of this product, I was thinking I’d get more content to show exercises of how to actually use it properly. Great product but they seem to be nickel and diming a bit trying to upsell the workouts
The jury is still out on this. My doc told me to get the Iron Neck to build neck muscles after many years of Botox for a movement disorder. So far it’s too heavy on my head. I’m working on lifting light weights to build strength first. Then I will incorporate the Iron Neck into my routine.
I've heard great things about the iron neck and am hopeful it will help me recover from my neck injury. Unfortunately I've had a negative experience with customer support regarding the incorrect assembly of the iron neck 3. 0 I received (as shown in the photo). For a product price point of over $500 I found it unacceptable that the product doesn't go through adequate quality control and that customer support told me to just accept the out of pocket expenses to drive to a store to buy tools to reassemble the device myself or pay out of pocket for shipping to refund the product. For such an expensive product I'm disappointed that it did not arrive functional and in the lack of customer consideration.
This is a MUST have for Instability and migraines!
I have been in six rear end collisions and I have EDS (Elhers Danlose Syndrome) is a genetic disorder that weakens connective tissues, including ligaments which causes instability of the neck. I have used the iron neck for only two weeks and can already tell a big difference. I’m still on phase one and taking it easy trying not to over do myself. Usually, I have severe migraines when I’m looking down towards my phone or computer. Yesterday, I was able to work on my NASM Certification without any issues.
