In my quest to bring awareness to athletes, parents and coaches regarding concussion prevention, I would like to inform our readers about our Fundraising Letter now available on our website. This letter is addressed to booster club members and informs concerned parents and coaches about what can be done to help prevent our kids from head injuries and concussions.
Concussions occur in football more than any other sport, but what are we doing to help protect our players from being concussed at the high school level? Helmets are not enough. They do a great job preventing skull fractures and contusions but not concussions. Numerous concussion experts have spoken out about the importance of implementing a neck-strengthening workout for all athletes engaged in football, as well as other contact sports.
The letter is meant to educate parents about how they can help keep their kids stay safe while playing the sports they love. Please view the letter below. All you have to do is fill in your schools name and email it to your booster club.
